Minority Entrepreneur Empowerment Center

The Akron Urban League’s Minority Entrepreneur Empowerment Center seeks to assist start-up, small and medium-sized businesses, and contractors with developing business strategies, management practices, and capital resources.

MEEC houses the Ohio Development Services Minority Business Assistance Center – Akron, the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program, and the Akron Waterway’s Renewed compliance and monitoring department.

In addition to various programs, MEEC also hosts a variety of small business certification workshops including MBE/EDGE Certification, Women-Owned Small Business Certification, Business Licensing workshops, among others.
