My World Studios is an independent recording studio, entertainment venue and now includes a summer camp for kids. Charise is a black woman business owner who continues to thrive and overcome the obstacles she has faced as a business owner during the pandemic.
Opening My World Studio, LLC, right before the pandemic was a challenge. Charise has reinvented and pivoted her business so that she continues to generate revenue while connecting with clients. Her services not only include an “entertainment” recording studio and rehearsal space for artists who would come to record their musical projects, but she also has an event space that she rents out to the community. Additionally, Charise provides mentorship and custom career development to many of the artists that seek guidance from an expert. As a singer and dancer, Charise understands the importance of developing and inspiring upcoming artists. This consultation and talent mentorship remain a large component of the services she and her staff provide.
The Summer Youth Program incorporates music and dancing instruction for local youth in the community.
In February 2021, Charise and My World Studio, LLC, were featured in the Akron Beacon Journal as a part of their series to recognize minority-owned businesses in Summit County. It was clear that her vision to create an artist’s world in Akron had come to fruition. It is a honor to recognize her as one of MBAC Akron’s success story because she continues to push forward and tackle any obstacles she encounters as a minority women-owned business.
