Horace Highland Sr. is the ODD MBAC Counselor at the Akron Urban League. He previously served as the V.P. Sales & Marketing for CommuniCare Advantage, Regional Director for Centering Healthcare Institute, State Manager for Molina Healthcare and Managing Consultant for Highland BizDev Group LLC. Horace has forty plus years of experience working with profit and non-profit business organizations. Horace was the owner/operator of an Insurance Agency that was MBE and EDGE certified.

Horace holds his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from Central State University and MBA in Business Administration from Kensington. He is a graduate of General Electric MMP Leadership Program, United Way Project BluePrint – Class II, Leadership Akron – Signature Class XXIII, and Leadership Ohio Fellow – Class XXII. He is a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and a member of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity.

Horace has experience serving on boards, both present and past. Prior Board of Directors’involvement includes United Way, Community Support Services, Leadership Akron, Leadership Ohio, and Alpha Library Committee. Currently serving on the Board of Directors for Alpha Phi Alpha Homes Inc., Central State University Alumni Association and Direction Home, Area Agency on Aging.
