Alice Samuels has been employed with Akron Urban League for more than 15 years, with extensive experience working with youth and workforce development, through various educational and employment opportunities. Currently, Mrs. Samuels serves as Youth Advocate with the Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (BOSS).
In her current role, Alice enjoys and appreciates the opportunity to empower consumers and families, by providing access to internal and external services and resources available through Akron Urban League, as well as the community-at-large. Alice is passionate in her investment to help today’s youth become stronger leaders for tomorrow.
Alice holds a degree in Business Administration from Alcorn State University and during her tenure with Akron Urban League, she has received numerous accolades, including being a graduate of the Neighborhood Leadership Institute of Summit County in 2018, Child & Family Leadership Exchange in 2014, and becoming a Certified Facilitator for the Emotional Intelligence Program in 2017. Presently, her civic duties include serving as President of Friends of Maple Valley Library and being an active member of the Akron Summit County Library.
Alice makes it a point to enjoy each day. She enjoys spending time with family, friends and in the beautiful scenery of the outdoors.
