Alissa Shively joined the Akron Urban League in 2021 and is the organization’s Director of Marketing and Communications. In her role, she is responsible for the overall strategic marketing efforts that include, but are not limited to, media relations, branding, advertising, social media, website marketing, and overall digital footprint.
She is a member of the Leadership Team that develops and executes the organization’s strategic objectives and overall vision; participating in the direction of the AUL’s short-term and long-term goals. As a professional with more than 20 years of marketing experience, she is committed to shining a light on the AUL’s good works, driving growth, and increasing omnichannel opportunities.
Alissa received a bachelor's degree in mass communication from Hiram College (OH) and a master’s degree in corporate communications from Lindenwood University (MO).
She is a self-proclaimed chocoholic, amateur film critic, avid runner, swimmer, and golfer.
