We are now accepting nominations for our Community Awards which will be presented at the Akron Urban League’s 97th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, August 13th at the John S. Knight Center. These awards honor individuals and organizations from the Greater Akron community whose extraordinary services and achievements have made a substantial, positive impact in our community. Nominations are being accepted now through July 2, 2022.

Community Award Categories:
Rising Star Award – Given to a young leader that exhibits hard work, dedication and is active in their local community.
Trailblazer Award– Given to an individual whose service has led to understanding and cooperation among the citizens in their local community.
Community Champion Award - Given to a small business or organization whose efforts have contributed to improving the quality of life in their local community.
