Director of Marketing & Communications
Alissa Shively is the Director of Marketing and Communications for the Akron Urban League. She joined the organization in 2021 and is responsible for the overall strategic marketing efforts that include, media relations, branding, advertising, social media, website marketing, and overall digital footprint.
She is a member of the Leadership Team that develops and executes the organization’s strategic objectives and overall vision; participating in the direction of the AUL’s short-term and long-term goals. As a professional with more than 20 years of marketing experience, she is committed to shining a light on the AUL’s good works, driving growth, and increasing omnichannel opportunities.
Alissa received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Hiram College (OH) and a Master’s Degree in Corporate Communications from Lindenwood University (MO).
She is a self-proclaimed chocoholic, amateur film critic and world traveler. She is an avid runner, swimmer, and golfer.
